A Small Selection of Intruder Alarm Equipment

DA Rebel 8+ & 9+ Control Panel

With an on-board keypad the DA Rebel 8+ is an ideal entry-level panel for domestic and small commercial systems. Generally used in audible (bells only) systems. There is also an “End Station” version, the Rebel 9+ where the main control board, standby battery and remote signalling equipment if fitted, is mounted out of sight, in a cupboard for example, a separate compact remote keypad is positioned near to the final exit door.

DA Aplique

The Aplique has an "End Station" which contains the main control board, standby battery and remote signalling equipment if fitted, a separate compact remote keypad is positioned near to the final exit door. This unit is recommended where remote signalling is required.

Additional Remote Keypad.

An additional remote keypad with integral   PA facility can be added to either of the above control panels. zone indication would be by individual LED indicators or English Text LCD Display (Aplique only).

Flush or Surface Door Contacts

Magnetic contacts are used to detect the opening of doors and windows. A contact fitted to the final exit/entry door or doors also initiates the entry timer to allow the users time to reach the control panel and enter the user code to switch the system off.

Passive Infrared Movement Sensor

The Pyronix Magnum TQ is a quad element passive infrared movement sensor, these sensors are generally positioned in the corner of the area to be protected, most detectors have a detection range of 12m to 15m in front of the detector and an angle of 90deg. Passive infrared movement sensors are suitable for most domestic and commercial environments.

Dual Technology Movement Sensor

The Rokonet Dual-Technology sensor combines a passive infrared element to detect the movement of a heat source and a microwave section to detect physical movement, both technologies must be activated before an alarm is generated.

Dual-technology movement sensors are therefore far more immune to false alarm activation caused by environmental conditions

PA or Panic Buttons

These are usually positioned adjacent to external doors and in bedrooms, when the button is pressed the external sounder will operate. The PA is active at all times therefore the intruder alarm system does not have to be set before use.

External Sounder

The “Xtravert” is a self contained external sounder with integral battery, strobe, control circuit board and 20 minute sounder cut-off timer.

These are usually mounted in a prominent position on the front of the property with a “Dummy” mounted on the rear or side of the building to act as a visual deterrent.

Master-Blaster

A Master-Blaster is a high output siren often used to supplement the Xtravert in remote locations.

Smoke Detector

A 12vdc optical smoke detector would be connected to, and derive it's supply from, the intruder alarm control panel. When activated the internal and external sounder would pulse until silenced by entering the customer access code.

Break glass detector

A Dual-Tec Glass Break Detector would be positioned to detect both the ultra low frequencies produced by a hard blow to a glass window, and the high frequencies produced as the glass breaks, each detector is capable of protecting glass within an unobstructed radius of 9 meters

Viper Inertia Sensor

A  'Viper' inertia sensor would be positioned on the frame or structure to be protected and tuned to detect the specific frequencies produced by physical attack on the structure.
